It is the responsibility of each team to arrange their own accommodation. I hope you find the information below helpful in deciding how to plan your weekend. One thing to think about when booking accommodation. If you use the same place for the weekend, remember we race around a giant loop. The start and finish are within 4 miles of each other. However, the stop over point on the Saturday night is over one hours drive from the start. Where to Stay GBR 2010The information has been extracted from websites with a few comments added. I have put a rough guide to the lowest prices (updated 24th January 2009). These are usually weekend rates when booked in advance and can change at anytime. Most links will give you up to date prices and let you book. However, I cannot guarantee the quality or service, but Im sure if you are willing to put in a bit of work you will find what you are looking for. Some Advice Essex is the overnight rest for the race and for many teams the only practical option is to stay locally. The pretty village of Blackmore hosts the finish of Stage 11 at approx. 19:40 on Saturday evening, with the last runner coming in about 18.00. Blackmore then hosts the start of Stage 12 at 08:00 sharp on Sunday morning. Blackmore village has three lovely country pubs but limited accommodation, so most teams must make a short journey to their hotels (usually between 5 and 15 miles away). All need to be well organised so your team can have a meal, enjoy their evening and get a proper night's rest. So please plan well.
