Green Belt Way
What
is the London Green Belt Way?
This is a new
Long Distance Path around the Green Belt of
London. It is 222.5 miles long, starts at the front door of Hampton Court
Palace and finishes in the middle of Hampton Court Maze.
It is broken down into 22 stages which vary in distance from
6.15 to 13.4 miles.
What
information is available on this site?
This website aims to provide the
information you need to walk part or all of the route. It includes a "Route"
section where you can see "Stage Distance", "Interactive
Maps of Each Stage and of the Whole Route", a detailed write up of "What
You'll See", a "Summary of the Route"
and "Photos by Stage". There is also useful information and tips about "Planning
a Walk"; "Access
Points to the path from Public Transport"; a
section on "Where to Stay Around the Route",
"OS Grid References & Post Codes"
of the start point of each stage: a list of "Links
& Useful Info" and a
Accessibility

Park Diversion Loop.
How
did this Long Distance Path come about?
The path has been developed over the last 16
years and in conjunction with a long distance charity run called the
Green Belt Relay organised by
Stragglers Running Club from
Kingston-upon-Thames.
