To get to end of leg 7, go left out of sports centre carpark, then right onto A1081 for 2.5 miles to big roundabout. Turn left onto A414 towards Hatfield. After 3 miles you come to junction 3 of A1(M).  Take 3rd exit A1001.  After a mile, at roundabout, take 1st exit, A1001. Stay on A1001 for another 2 miles (crossing straight over another two roundabouts). Then turn left into Wildhill Road.  Follow road through Wildhill to T-junction. Turn left onto B158. After 500m turn right into Cucumber Lane then left into Berkhamsted Lane to finish just over a mile later at Lt. Berkhamsted. 

You can support the runners at 5.3 miles, if at junction 3 of A1(M) you take first exit** (do not go onto A1(M)) – road runs parallel to motorway. Runners appear from path on left 0.5 miles later, then follow road up to roundabout, turn right over A1(M), then cross under road using subway and disappear off on path to left behind big shopping centre. Cars can then go left at next roundabout onto B6426, then right at third extra roundabout onto B197. Cars are now back with runners at 6.55 miles and can follow runners for rest of leg.

Note: There are other ways cars can go between St Albans and Little Berkhamsted, but use a good map and navigator if you are going to take a different route.
