On leaving carpark / village, be careful of runners finishing leg 7.

You can go either way to join the run, either, 1. Follow course, or, 2. Left out of pub carpark, down Church Road for a mile, then left, rejoining the runners at 1.4 miles – take right into White Stubbs Lane – can now follow runners to Broxbourne.

Note: Bucks Alley (and other roads) are very narrow and winding, so please drive with utmost care and give runners lots of space.

At Broxbourne, the road to the River Lea crosses a level crossing and leads to a dead-end carpark. It is a nice setting and a very good spot to support runners.

To get to the end of leg from Broxbourne, go south along A1170, then A10. Stay on A10 till just after junction with M25. Turn left along A105, becomes A1055. After another mile (at traffic lights), turn right, then right again (just before bridge) and into Ordnance Road. Follow this to Enfield Lock. Parking is in the big carpark to the left of Rifles Pub.
