Traffic can follow runners for all of leg 12.

The end of the leg is at the entrance to the Thurrock Hotel, which is north of the QE2 Bridge. The start of the leg 13 is at the Bridge Viewing Carpark on the south side of the bridge, over 2 miles away – it’s a very big bridge. There is a toll on the bridge – in 2002 it was £1 – have your money ready.

If you wish to get to start of leg 13 quickly, then after 2.7 miles into leg 12, go west on A127(T) to M25, go south on M25 and over Dartford Crossing (QE2 Bridge).

Over bridge, stay in left hand lane off bridge and take first left (it’s immediate) to "Bridge Viewing Area" – see map for start of leg 13.
