updated - 8 August 2010 GBR 2010 - Results, Reports, Photos, a Video and more - CLICK HERE Introducing "London's Green Belt Way" See the exciting link at the Long Distance Walkers Association http://www.ldwa.org.uk/ldp/members/show_path.php?menu_type=S&path_id=7019 This is a 222 mile footpath around London, basically following the route of the Green Belt Relay with 52 diversions comprising of 50 miles of changes. There is a huge write-up of all the places we pass on the walk, but please do not confuse with the Green Belt Relay route as there are differences. Lots of updates (to 2010) - see "Results Section" Frequently Asked Questions Some questions have been asked many times. I have listed a few below, and hope the answers help you with your organisation. What Happens if More than 11 Run for a Team? Nothing happens. They do not get disqualified, the team gets listed where the finish, but do not qualify for team prizes How Difficult Are The Stages? To answer this questions I have rated them from 1 - 10 by degree of difficulty. If you wish to know just go to Stage Details Section. What Time does GBR goes through different areas? Click on the Headline above to get the approximate time the first runner goes through each place. See Results Section for Stage, Veteran & Super Veteran Stage Records, Most Club Wins, Individual Wins and much more. The Route (updated 26/04/10) For a description of the route (continually be updating for 2010), with points of interest we pass, follow the link through the "race" section of this site to "route". Maps These are available for 2010 in the Stage Details. There will be no changes to any stage this year. The distances on the Stage Details Table and on the Google Maps and the Runners Maps. It must be read in conjunction with the Hazard Codes Where to Stay over the Weekend To really get the full enjoyment from GBR, I recommend that all your team, stick together over the whole weekend. Organise a place to stay, a meal for the Saturday night and support each other all the time. You'll take back memories which will stay with you for a long time, you'll make new friends and you will feel part of something really special.
